Cherry Cornbread and ArcAttack

First of all, I’d like to give a geeky squee over ArcAttack! I’ve loved these guys for a while, and they just auditioned on America’s Got Talent.  They play singing Tesla coils, and they rule.  I posted a different performance earlier, but here it is again. Dr. Who on Tesla coils. It doesn’t get any more geektastic.  If you live in the States, vote for them!

Secondly,  I’ve finally managed to put together the perfect cornbread recipe, and thought I’d share it 🙂

150 grams of butter

200 grams sugar

3 eggs

4 tsp. baking powder

300 ml vanilla oat milk

1 tsp. vanilla extract

300 grams corn flour

100 grams wheat flour

1 tsp. salt

fresh cherries or fresh peaches (as many as you like)

Mix the dry ingredients.  In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the oat milk.  Cut the butter into the flour, then add the egg/milk mix and stir well.  Chop up the cherries or peaches and mix into the batter.  Bake until a toothpick or knife comes out clean.

And now the sun is calling me!

Two Things…

Not much to report today, so I’ll post the two coolest things I’ve seen in ages.

The first is ArcAttack playing the old school Dr. Who theme song on, wait for it, singing Tesla coils. Pure Brilliance

The second is the Big Lebowski. As Shakespeare would have written it.  As the dude sayeth, GOLD!

It had me in stitches for a good few hours!

Enjoy your Sunday!
